• How it works

    Our chargeback prevention process consists of 3 activities: verifying customers, reporting customers and negotiating with customers who charge back.
     
  • 1. Verifying customers

    Every customer you receive an order from needs to be verified through our database. You can do this by logging on to our website and filling out the search form, or integrating our search API into your own ordering system.
    Our system will check your customers against our list and warn you if you are dealing with a customer who has had chargebacks in the past.
    If you have your customer's IP address available, our system will tell you the exact location of the IP address. This is a very important tool for verifying orders. For example: Someone orders your electronically delivered product with a US billing address but his IP address indicates that he is actually in Nigeria. This will prompt you to use caution when dealing with this customer (ask for extra id, copy of credit card, fax an agreement with signature, etc)
     
  • 2. Reporting customers who charge back or force a refund.

    This is a very important part of our chargeback prevention process. In order to receive information you must share it also.
    You must report customers who charged back, threatened to charge back if you do not refund their money or used a stolen card to purchase your products.
    You can do this either manually or automatically by integrating our report API into your own order management system.

  • 3. Negotiating with customers and recovering chargeback related fees.

    Most customers will be eager to contact you and resolve the problem, because they do not want to ruin their credit worthiness. At this point it is up to you to negotiate with the customer if you wish.
